The North Ridge Citizens’ Association (NRCA) invites you to wheel on down Old Dominion Boulevard in style at the annual Wheel Day Parade on SUNDAY, MAY 27th! We invite kids of all ages to decorate your bike, trike, scooter, skates, stroller, doll carriage, or anything with wheels and join the fun. Parade participants should arrive at 2:45 at the circle on Old Dominion and Chalfonte Dr. The parade of rolling children starts at 3:00 p.m., and rolls down hill to the Beverley Hills Church where judges will award prizes and refreshments will be served. Rain date: Monday the 28th, same time.

Wheel Day is FREE, open to all ages, and requires no reservations. Just show up with the decorated wheels of choice and have fun.

New to the neighborhood? Wheel Day has been held on Memorial Day Sunday since the 1940s. Keep it simple or make it elaborate, come meet your neighbors and have a great time!

Wheel Day is sponsored by NRCA and powered by volunteers. We need a few good people to get the show on the road doing easy and fun jobs like:

  • blocking and staffing crossroads
  • judging
  • setting up and refreshing snacks & beverages
  • and cleaning up

Please consider giving us your time to continue this neighborhood tradition. Please e-mail [email protected] to help out.

High school students, grandparents, and other cool neighbors make great volunteers, please ask them to sign up, as well!

Please use Twitter and #WheelDay2018 to follow for weather updates and to post photos, etc.

A friendly reminder that alcohol is not permitted on church property.
