Free Community Health Fair for Alexandria’s Low-income Uninsured

 

health-fair-freeMore than 15 free health screens, including glucose tests, cholesterol check, child obesity and developmental screens, mental health, dental screens for adults/kids, and vision and hearing will be available at the Fair on November 5th at the George Washington Middle School.

Many low-income adults may qualify for a new primary health care benefit financed by the City and provided by Neighborhood Health. Others who qualify will be assisted with applying for subsidies under Obamacare or qualify for Medicaid or other health and social services.

The Fair is hosted by more than 60 community, health and faith-based partners, including Alexandria City Public Schools, Dept. Community and Human Services, Kaiser Permanente, Medical Society of No.VA and Neighborhood Health.
