Agenda: Alexandria Has New Leadership
Agenda: Alexandria, a non-partisan, non-profit organization which began in 1998, has a new Executive Director. Donna Walker James turned in her adding machine and ledger books she used as treasurer for the organization in order to step into the legendary shoes of Sherry Brown.
Sherry is a well-known fixture in the Alexandria landscape and has led the group for years, and now moves to a lifetime emeritus member status with the heartfelt thanks of a grateful board of directors and community.
Agenda: Alexandria hosts eight open dinner meetings a year with presentations on topics of interest to Alexandrians. Topics are wide-ranging and have included such issues as transportation, education, history & preservation, waterfront development, dining out, the environment, the arts, eating local, City budget planning, aging in place, and public safety—to list just a few.
