Al’s Steakhouse, 1504 Mt. Vernon, is open! If you are one of the few people who didn’t know, Al’s reopened around a year ago and suffered a devastating fire on its opening day. With the help of a local fundraiser, the Breedings have reopened to standing room crowds. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and found a happy group waiting for their sandwiches. The cheesesteak sandwiches are better than ever. Just be prepared for a wait.
