While the first day of school is still many weeks away for most of our schools, it is not too early to save the date for Back-to-School Night.
Mark your calendar and make a date to meet teachers and administrators, learn about what your child can expect this year and visit your child’s classroom. Back-to-School Night is held in the evening; the time for each will be announced by each school.
Back-to-School Night for all elementary schools and Jefferson-Houston will be held on September 19.
Middle schools will host their Back-to-School Nights on September 20.
T.C King Street campus will hold it’s on September 12* and T.C. Minnie Howard will hold it’s on September 13, each at 6:30 p.m. with a meet and greet with administrators and counselors at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.
T.C. Satellite Campus will hold it Back-to-School Night on September 28.
For school supplies, don’t forget to take advantage of the Virginia tax holiday, August 4 – 6, so that your child is prepared and ready to go on the first day!
Reminder: rising students in grades 6 through 8 must complete the 2017 Summer Reading Assignment prior to the first day of school. Visit acps.com for supply lists and more information.
