Alexandria Law Enforcement Agencies Honored

On November 9, the U.S. Capitol Police honored Alexandria police and others for their response to the June 14 shooting at Simpson Field. During the ceremonies at the U.S. Capitol, Officers Kevin Jobe, Alexander Jensen and Nicole Battaglia and two U.S. Capitol officers received Medals of Honor for their courageous and life-saving actions. Then Mayor Allison Silberberg, Sheriff Dana Lawhorne, and members of the U.S. Park Police and Virginia State Police were awarded Medals of Merit in recognition of the efforts of their agencies immediately following the shooting
