Rotary Club of Alexandria Raises Funds for The Salvation Army
The Rotary Club of Alexandria assisted in raising funds for the Salvation Army in Alexandria by providing bell ringers on December 16th, 2017. 54 Rotarians plus family and friends volunteered to “ring the bell” for the Salvation Army in three locations in Old Town Alexandria.
During the day, Rotarians greeted shoppers, dog walkers, runners and other Alexandrians conducting their weekend affairs. Due to their generosity, The Rotary Club of Alexandria helped raise $9,440 for the Salvation Army.
“The Salvation Army is so incredibly grateful for the support and partnership of the Alexandria Rotary Club. The Rotary bell ringing day continues to produce our top grossing Kettle day of the whole season. The funds raised by Rotary are crucial to our ability to serve those in need in Alexandria all year round. These funds will allow families in Alexandria to have food on the table, keep the lights on, and keep their homes heated. Thank you Rotary for all you do for The Salvation Army,” stated Lt. Nathan Bridges of the Salvation Army in Alexandria.
