The foundation of the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem, oyster populations total less than one percent of historic numbers. Aquaculture oysters play an important role in filtering the Bay’s nutrient, sediment, and pollution. Supporting this unique local industry and its commitment to Chesapeake conservation became a no-brainer!
