ALEXANDRIA, VA – Per the Alexandria City School Board vote on April 4, 2019, ACPS will be using the old Patrick Henry school building as a swing space during the modernization of Douglas MacArthur Elementary School.
Due to the close proximity of the former Patrick Henry Recreation Center, this portion of the building will be demolished to provide proper separation from the school building. The permits and preparation have begun and onsite work should commence during the month of May.
