Alexandria is Looking For Volunteers to Help With the 2020 Census

An accurate count is crucial, as the U.S. Census Bureau estimates $20,000 in federal funding in Alexandria is lost with every person left uncounted over the course of 10 years.

Alexandria, VA – Alexandria needs your help, namely in counting the number of folks who live in the Port City as part of the 2020 Census. Those interested can fill out the 2020 Census Complete Count Feedback Form, and businesses and local organizations are encouraged to participate.

An accurate count is crucial, as the U.S. Census Bureau estimates $20,000 in federal funding in Alexandria is lost with every person left uncounted over the course of 10 years.

The 2020 Census Complete Count Committee will hold its next meetings on May 22 and June 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Oswald Durant Arts Center, 1605 Cameron St. The meetings will focus on getting participation from hard-to-count groups throughout the city.
