Alexandria Police Accepting Applications for Half-Day Summer Community Police Academy

You'll learn about patrol operations, use of force policies, the K9 Unit, Special Operations Team, crime scene investigation, and criminal investigations.

Alexandria, VA – Interested in how the police department works? The Alexandria Police Department is offering two half-day classes this summer as part of its Community Police Academy. You’ll learn about patrol operations, use of force policies, the K9 Unit, Special Operations Team, crime scene investigation, and criminal investigations.

The classes will be held on Saturday, July 20, and on Aug. 17 at Alexandria Police Department Headquarters at 3600 Wheeler Ave. from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Sign up fast, because there is only space for 45 participants. All registrants must be 18 years old and live/work in Alexandria.
