Z Pick of the Month: Alexandria’s Birthday Celebration is July 13!

ALEXANDRIA,VA–Celebrate Alexandria’s 270th birthday with fireworks on Saturday, July 13, at the waterfront! Thousands of people show up for the annual event, which will also commemorate the 243rd birthday of the country! Enjoy local food vendors and birthday cake, and the best part, in our opinion, is when the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra plays the 1812 Overture with cannon blasts in the background – all showcasing a brilliant light show that culminates in an awe-inspiring grand finale!

Happy birthday, Alexandria! You’re young at heart, even in Old Town.
