Alexandria Government Phone Lines Are Down, 911 Still Works

Verizon's phone network is experiencing issues, and the city is working to get the phones back up and running.

Alexandria, VA – You might have a tough time trying to get in touch with an employee of the Alexandria government. Verizon’s phone network is experiencing issues, and the city is working to get the phones back up and running.

“All city employees can make calls out, but can’t receive them,” Alexxandria spokesman Craig Fifer told The Zebra.

The City’s 911 service is not affected.

To report a non-emergency problem or request a City service, go to  alexandriava.gov/CallClickConnect.
