Young Alexandria Horsewoman Garners Acclaim

ALEXANDRIA,VA – Julianne Karol, 14, of Alexandria, has recently been named a 2019 Junior Committee Member for the Washington International Horse Show (WIHS). As a WIHS Junior Committee Member, she initiates and works on volunteer activities, horse-related youth programs and community-focused educational events. Members represent the show’s youth perspective and support WIHS staff while gaining hands-on experience.

Karol is a rising freshman at St. Stephens and St. Agnes School, and has been riding since she was five years old. She has been competing for almost nine years, in hunters and equitation. This is Karol’s first year on the Junior Committee.

The 61st Annual Washington International Horse Show will be held October 22-17, 2019, at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. For more information, please visit wihs.org.
