Alexandria, VA – Tired of all the litter along our otherwise beautiful shores? Get involved with the International Coastal Cleanup! The City, in participation with the International Coastal Cleanup, welcomes volunteers to help with the effort to remove trash from our beautiful landscapes and waterways.

“Trash is both an aesthetic and ecological issue within the Chesapeake Bay watershed and we would greatly appreciate your help,” states a city news release.

The event will be on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9 to 11 a.m. along Old Holmes Run, next to the Charles E. Beatley Jr. Central Library. Bring your smiles and water bottles for a morning of giving back to our community!

To RSVP for the event, or for questions and additional information, please contact Gavin Pellitteri at [email protected] (703.746.4071)
