ALEXANDRIA, VA — In paperwork filed with the City, an application has been made to convert the space at 5770 Dow Avenue into a crab restaurant.

The space was previously built out in March 2017 by Catherine and Margaret Portner, two of Robert Portner’s (the Alexandria brewing giant of the late 1800s) great-great granddaughters. The craft brewhouse closed just 13 months later and has remained vacant ever since.
