ALEXANDRIA, VA – “It’s that time of year again – Academy Time and there is a brand new Academy this Spring, the Eco-City Academy (promoting sustainability in the City), bringing the total to seven academies,” exclaims Elaine Scott, Senior Community Liaison in the City’s Office of Communications and Public Relations.
You Can Become an ECO Ambassador!
The new ECO-City Academy starts April 1. Classes will be on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for six weeks. The course is an opportunity to become an Eco-City Ambassador, take actions to make Alexandria more sustainable, learn about environmental challenges, and contribute to daily sustainable practices to reach the adopted 2019 goals of the City. Special tours may be included.
