Take Advantage of Special Deals During Restaurant Week
Alexandria used to be on the map because it was one of the nation’s hottest shipping ports. Now it’s a mappable food destination.
Restaurant Week is serious business these days. It can make or break a restaurant. Do it right and restaurants pick up loyal customers with cash to spend two or three times a month. Mess it up, and all those foodie marketing dollars are up in smoke.
Alexandria used to be on the map because it was one of the nation’s hottest shipping ports. Now it’s a mappable food destination. Alexandria even has food tours!
All of this means Alexandria Restaurant Week is no joke.
For ten days and two weekends, 70 restaurants in Alexandria, Virginia, will offer a $35 three-course dinner for one OR a $35 dinner for two during Alexandria Winter Restaurant Week, January 17-26, 2020. 35 restaurants will also offer lunch menus at $15 or $22 per person in addition to the dinner specials. Brunch lovers can enjoy brunch menus for $15 or $22 per person at more than a dozen restaurants.
Alexandria Winter Restaurant Week showcases the inventiveness of local chefs in neighborhoods throughout the city, including Old Town, Del Ray, Carlyle and Eisenhower, and the West End.
Step away from the scale. Peruse the menus on the Visit Alexandria site and choose your favorites, the ones you have been curious to try, and explore the best values. Invite friends. Get a dining group together and hit five or six restaurants that week. Pay the upcharges if the restaurant offers a special cut of beef or rare fish or special add-on. And please tip your servers 20% or more. You are still getting a very good deal.
