ALEXANDRIA DOG: Juju Needs Your Help

Puppy may have been hit by a car or person.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – 8-week-old Juju was brought to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria when someone saw her limping on the side of the road.

“An examination from our shelter veterinarian revealed a fractured femur, broken ribs and additional abdominal damage from a recent trauma. We do not know if her injuries were caused by a car or something else, but we know she needs urgent help!” says the AWLA in an email.

Due to the severity of her leg injury, a veterinary surgeon has determined that amputation gives her the best chance of recovery so she can still enjoy the life of a normal, energetic puppy.

She will need her surgery as soon as possible, and weeks of follow-up care to monitor her progress and other injuries. “With your support to Sarah’s Fund for injured animals, we can give Juju the urgent care she needs,” says AWLA.
