Alexandria Announces Cherry Blossom Boat and Bike Tours to D.C.

Pedego Electric Bikes will offer two to three-hour guided tours from Old Town to the cherry blossoms, including riding through East Potomac Park. Pedego bikes offer an up-close-and-personal view of the blossoms, without the exertion of regular bikes or the stress of traffic and parking. All tours are subject to weather, safe riding conditions and bike availability. Individual riders must be at least 16 years old. Target Gallery’s popular annual exhibition and art sale, March150, returns to Torpedo Factory Art Center for the 10th year. Proceeds benefit future exhibitions and programs at Target Gallery and the Torpedo Factory Art Center. This yearly all-media exhibition features more than 200 works created and donated by artists local to Alexandria and the greater D.C. region. The only requirement to be on view in the exhibition is that artists use the gallery-supplied 10” x 10” panel. All work in the show is priced at $150. Art Party patrons will not only enjoy first access to the exhibition but also will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine supplied by Alexandria favorites; a special March150 themed photobooth; live and interactive art making; a raffle to win prizes from local creative spaces, as well as glow-in-the-dark themed dance party in the last hour. Voted a favorite and picturesque race by RunWashington Magazine, the Parkway Classic starts at the beautiful Mount Vernon estate and takes runners down the tree-lined namesake Parkway to another of George’s destinations, charming Old Town Alexandria.
