Need a Permit? Alexandria Has a Small Business Facilitator to Help You
Henry Hollander was hired by the City to the position of Plan Examiner – Small Business & Residential Project Facilitator and is ready to help!
Alexandria, VA – “We FINALLY have a new small business facilitator in Code Administration,” exclaimed the headline in the latest newsletter from the Old Town Business Association.
In late 2019, Henry Hollander was hired by the City to the position of Plan Examiner – Small Business & Residential Project Facilitator. Hollander is the first point of contact now for small business permit applications.
Hollander knows some of the ins and outs already at City Hall because of his extensive time spent there getting permits when he was the Associate Owner and Principal of Hollander Associates in Old Town, an award-winning design firm specializing in architectural and environmental design. As lead designer he encountered a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, educational, and institutional architecture related to everything under the sun including interior and exterior signage.
APEX Simplifying Process Too
The City has a new permit portal called APEX, which is part of its new land management software system allows users to apply for plans and permits, search public records schedule inspections and pay fees, view all active plans and permits throughout the city, view active code cases, and access information without having to register or sign in.
If you need information on how to get a permit, try APEX at apex.alexandriava.gov and if you have any trouble, reach out to Henry Hollander, [email protected], 703-746-4213.
