YMCA Alexandria Providing Free Meals and Produce to Children Under 18

ALEXANDRIA, VA – If you are under 18 and bring your own bag, you’re eligible, says the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, which is providing free meals and produce at some of its locations across the DMV area, including the Alexandria location at 420 E. Monroe Avenue in the Del Ray section of the City.

Free meals contain 3-days’ worth of breakfast and lunch. Meal boxes can be picked up weekdays Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 p.m.

For produce packets, the pick up times at Mondays 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesdays 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Any child, regardless of their affiliation with the YMCA, may pick up boxed meals two times per week – children must be 18 or younger.

Produce is available for anyone, regardless of their affiliation with the YMCA. Produce will be distributed while supplies last.
