Alexandria, VA – Did you know that each year the Chamber welcomes a new Chair of the Board to serve for that calendar year? In 2020, the Chamber ALX is glad to have Dave Millard of Avison Young at the helm. Dave is The Chamber ALX’s 115th Chair of the Board.
Dave Millard is a principal with Avison Young and has over 25 years’ experience in commercial real estate in the Washington Metropolitan area. Dave’s experience spans a wide range of real estate transactions on behalf of his clients, including lease acquisitions and dispositions, build-to-suits, as well as land and investment sales. He has been involved in more than 15 million sf of real estate transactions since 1996.
Prior to his real estate career, Dave served in the Peace Corps. Amongst his many community activities, Dave has been chair of The Campagna Center and currently serves on the boards of the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington.
Dave and his wife, Mary Ann Best, live in Old Town and have four daughters. Dave is looking forward to his Baltimore Ravens meeting the Washington Redskins in the Super Bowl in the near future.
