Volunteer Alexandria – Volunteerism during COVID-19
Volunteer Alexandria has risen to the challenge to continue serving neighborhoods across Alexandria during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Alexandria, VA – As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to change the way we live and work, Volunteer Alexandria has risen to the challenge to continue serving neighborhoods across Alexandria. Our nonprofit and City partners have shown resilience by finding creative approaches to continue their services, address food insecurity, keep children minds active, and connect the isolated among us. For this, we thank you.
We couldn’t do ANY of this without people who are able and willing to serve. Our volunteers are the heart of Alexandria and this pandemic has proven this truth once again. Our call to action mobilized almost 1,000 NEW volunteers! Over 2,800 people have volunteered for the needs we posted since COVID-19 started in March.
Volunteers are essential. We need them because our community needs them. If you are able to support our efforts, please donate so we can inspire and mobilize people for as long as the need persists.
