ALEXANDRIA, VA – If you are a history buff and want to learn more about the Revolutionary War from a local historian, this event will be right up your alley. On July 23 at 7 p.m. via Zoom, author John R. Maass, Ph.D., will talk about his new book “The Battle of Guilford Courthouse: A Most Desperate Experiment.”

The book recounts the bloody battle and the grueling campaign in the South that led to it. The battle was critical to America’s independence. Dr. Maass’ talk is sure to be engaging and informative, even from though it is a virtual gathering. This is the third of four planned lectures by Alexandria historians.
