ALEXANDRIA, VA – On Monday, Oct. 26, the West End Business Association (WEBA) will host a virtual event from 12:30-2 p.m. The purpose of the session is to assist Alexandria business owners who want to prepare for the Paycheck Protection Program‘s (PPP) loan forgiveness application process.

As part of the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act, the PPP is meant to provide economic stability during the pandemic. According to the Treasury Department‘s website, the “program provides small businesses with funds to pay up to 8 weeks of payroll costs including benefits. Funds can also be used to pay interest on mortgages, rent, and utilities.”

PPP loans of any amount may be forgiven, if certain conditions are met.

There have been some recent changes to the application process. During the event, experts will provide advice and guidelines for both the simple and advanced forms.

Registration is free for WEBA members For non-members, the cost is $10. Register HERE.
