Pick Up Your Super Bowl Party Food at These Alexandria Restaurants

ALEXANDRIA, VA – No matter who you are rooting for in this weekend’s big game, one thing you will want are plenty of fun munchies on your sidelines. Here are the highlights being offered around town:

  • Celebrate Port City Brewing Company’s 10th anniversary from home! The beloved brewery opened on Super Bowl Sunday in 2011 and will celebrate its anniversary from February 5-7, 2021 with the release of the 10th anniversary brew, COLOSSAL X, a Barleywine Style Ale. Swing by for curbside pickup or outdoor seating to celebrate 10 years of Port City with a Barleywine in hand.

  • The Greene Turtle in Kingstowne has family-friendly food platters including Hand Breaded Tenders served with chipotle honey mustard and smoky BBQ; Bone-in or Boneless Wings with any sauce of your choice along with bleu cheese or ranch dip; Buffalo Chicken Dip, arguably the restaurant’s most popular Super Bowl dip, it is served with melted bleu cheese, scallions and tortilla chips; and Bavarian Pretzel Sticks, another good one for the kids, pretzel sticks are oven-baked and served with Fat Tire Beer Cheese and Bavarian Mustard.

  • There are oodles of slider buns, toaster pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and everything Super Bowl waiting to be ordered up at MB Bakery to Go, but act fast–the deadline is 4 pm on Friday..

In the Carlyle neighborhood, you can pick up from Tequila & Taco and/or Sweet Fire Donna’s, both of whom are offering Super Bowl menus.

At the north end of Del Ray at 10 E. Glebe Road, Northside 10 has a special menu:

In the heart of Old Town, the French and Irish are getting involved. Bastille and the two Irish pubs O’Connell’s and Murphy’s have substantial offerings for Game Day.

And on the West End, Alexandria’s newest Mexican restaurant, Taqueria Picoso has a Super Bowl taco party to go plus a wings and guac special.

There are many other restaurants offering specials as well who were not able to get their information to this reporter in time for press, but to check out what is happening all over town, just visit the Alexandria Curbside Facebook Group which now has over 11,700 members. It’s free to join and loaded with information, and it is ALL POSITIVE!!
