Register Now for Senior Services of Alexandria’s Virtual Spring Senior Academy
The Senior Academy is a wonderful way to learn about how Alexandria works and all the great things available to older adults.
Alexandria, VA – Alexandria residents and those employed in the city who are 60+ years old are invited to register for our virtual Senior Academy beginning on Wednesday, April 7, from 10:00 -11:30 am. The Senior Academy is a wonderful way to learn about how Alexandria works and all the great things available to older adults. Sessions include a welcome by Mayor Justin Wilson and an overview of operations by the City Manager’s Office. Other sessions include briefings by our first responders: Fire, Police, and Sheriff; the Division of Aging and Adult Services; Offices of Housing and Departments of Transportation and Planning; local nonprofits serving older adults; Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Activities, and the Alexandria Library.
