CVS Locations in Alexandria Now Distributing COVID-19 Vaccines

ALEXANDRIA, VA–CVS adds Alexandria to its list of cities in Virginia now distributing COVID-19 vaccinations. Sign up will begin Saturday, March 13, and vaccination appointments will begin Sunday, March 14. Here is a list of CVS locations in Alexandria distributing vaccinations, and the vaccines they will provide.

To register, you must visit the CVS website, the Alexandria Health Department website, or the Fairfax County website. CVS staff are unable to schedule COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

Alexandria is currently in the vaccination phases 1a, which includes healthcare personnel and residents of long-term care, and 1b, which includes frontline essential workers, teachers, those 65 and older, and those 16-64 with certain pre-existing conditions. Phase 1c, which includes media and other essential workers, is next.

Essential workers will be able to receive their vaccinations through employer-based clinics; others will receive them through their local health departments, pharmacies, or healthcare providers.

Individuals and organizations can register or pre-register online, and they will be contacted for appointments on a rolling basis.

*This location will be a provider, but when they will begin appointments and which vaccine they will distribute is yet to be determined.
