ALEXANDRIA, VA – The winners of the The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are out.  Alexandria has been selected for the third spot in the Top 10 Small Cities in the U.S. The Port City is behind only Charleston, South Carolina at No. 2 and Aspen, Colorado at No. 1.

Alexandria also has the unique positioning of being located minutes from one of the Best Large Cities in the U.S., as D.C. is No. 6. Visitors can stay in one location but experience two of the nation’s best cities.

Since the creation of the category in 2018, Alexandria has ranked among the 5 Best Small Cities for four straight years.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel.”
