Opal Singers to Debut in Old Town
Registration open now for the new adult choir - no audition needed!
Alexandria, VA – Opal Music Studio is proud to introduce the Opal Singers, a new non-audition adult choir in Old Town. Showcasing a mix of popular and classical tunes, Opal Singers will offer music lovers an enjoyable, informal music-making environment.
Opal Music Studio co-founder Hannah Williams explained, “We formed Opal Singers to give the adults in our community the chance to learn what it’s like to sing in a group. The Opal Singers welcome any and all who are interested. There’s no audition or previous experience required for this new adult choir!”
The Opal Singers is the newest musical offering by Old Town’s innovative music studio. The adult choir will be led by vocalist, pianist, studio tech, arranger, and director Marianne Cheng, who brings a passion for lifelong learning to the Opal community.
Promising a fun, social, musical experience, the inaugural Opal Singers session will feature a casual performance for friends and family on the final night.
The 8-week session begins Thursday, February 23, and meets every Thursday from 7:30-9pm at Opal Music Studio, located at 607 Prince Street. Cost is $350 per session.
