Alexandria, VA – “We raised more than ever before,” said Martha Carucci, Executive Director of the National Breast Center Foundation, about the 8th Annual Swing to Bust Cancer event at Belle Haven Country Club on May 15. “I know it’s over $40,000, but not all of the donations have been counted yet.”

Swinging tennis rackets and golf clubs on a beautiful day helped advance the efforts of the nonprofit founded by Dr. David C. Weintritt, a board-certified breast surgeon and founder of the National Breast Center Foundation, dedicated to providing the most comprehensive breast cancer care available to the underinsured in Alexandria.

“There are women in our will answer their concerns. The National Breast Center team knows how to solve these problems, and every day, women in our clinics benefit from this unique approach,” says Weintritt.

“Even a donation of $100 will help a woman get a mammogram” says Carucci.  “Everyone out here today is helping save lives.”
