Make a Gingerbread House Version of a Famous Alexandria Building at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum Dec. 17
ALEXANDRIA, VA-Alexandria is known for its historic buildings. One of the most storied, Gadsby’s Tavern – whose customers included George Washington and was the site of meetings during the American Revolution – will host a gingerbread house decorating event at its museum. Get into the holidays and learn about history at the same time. Mark Sunday, Dec. 17 on your calendar. The event, from 1-6 p.m., invites you to build a famous building.
According to Visit Alexandria’s website, “Learn about local architecture as you decorate a flat “facade” (front), based on historic buildings around Gadsby’s Tavern Museum. Ticket includes one flat gingerbread facade, all the supplies needed to decorate, and admission to the museum.”
