Adopt a Pet in Alexandria: Meet Oscar
ALEXANDRIA, VA-Oscar is a 7-year-old gentle giant who weighs in at 109 pounds. This big boy is a sweet and easygoing guy who would love a home to lounge around in. All of AWLA’s volunteers and staff report that he is a breeze to walk. He ignores other people, bicyclists, and dogs. He just moseys on his way without a care in the world. Oscar is also very good at letting staff know when he needs to go outside to potty. He does his absolute best not to make a mess in his kennel. It doesn’t take much to make Oscar happy – he’d love a comfy bed, some tasty treats, and a little walk here and there. While Oscar doesn’t seem to mind other dogs around while he’s out on walks, AWLA thinks he needs to be the only dog in the home. Through the end of the month, his adoption fee is sponsored, thanks to Priority Automotive Group.
The AWLA is located at 4101 Eisenhower Ave. Founded in 1946, the AWLA has supported and served as a resource for homeless animals. The organization remains an integral part of the community by providing opportunities for adoption, spay and neuter assistance, education, and outreach. To learn more, visit alexandriaanimals.org.
