ALEXANDRIA, VA-The City of Alexandria invites the community to learn more about City government by participating in the upcoming Alexandria City Academy. This program is designed to give residents, business owners and city employees the opportunity to better understand the operations, mission, and vision of Alexandria City Government by creating a clear connection between community input and its effects on policy decisions, infrastructure needs and financial considerations.
The Alexandria City Academy classes run for nine weeks on Thursday evenings (6:30 – 9 p.m.) at various locations throughout the City. They begin Thursday, March 14 and end in May, followed by a graduation recognition during a Tuesday City Council Legislative Meeting. Please note one class will be held on a Saturday morning. The deadline to apply is February 23rd.
