The Chamber ALX’s CareerCon 2024!

Alexandria, VA – The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the successful culmination of CareerCon, an event aimed at bridging the gap between Alexandria’s students and professionals in various industries. Held this past February, CareerCon marked a triumphant return after its inaugural event, promising an enriching experience for high school and college students alike.

Designed to cater to students on the brink of graduation or those already navigating higher education, CareerCon served as a beacon of guidance in an ever-evolving job market. With a focus on providing insights into future industries and equipping students with essential life skills, the event garnered enthusiasm from both attendees and presenters.

Central to CareerCon was the opportunity for students to gain practical knowledge and network with industry experts. Through engaging sessions and workshops, attendees delved into the nuances of their desired fields, learning about industry trends, essential curriculum skills, and paths to success post-graduation. Moreover, students were encouraged to take charge of their futures, with sessions dedicated to owning the job hunt and establishing financial stability by avoiding debt and building credit.

Thanks to their sponsorship, those who attended all three sessions—opening, track one, and track two—were eligible for interest-based scholarships totaling $4,000.
