Adopt a Pet in Alexandria: Meet Oreo
ALEXANDRIA, VA-Adoptable Oreo is as sweet as the cookie she was named after. And AWLA is surprised she hasn’t been scooped up yet! Oreo is five months old and weighs 22 pounds. Besides being deliciously cute, she loves to play with toys and is excelling at her clicker training. She adores everyone she meets and instantaneously becomes a lap dog if you plop down on the ground with her. She does well with other dogs, too! Oreo would love to find a family who has some extra time to spend taking her on walks or runs, playing with her, and continuing to work on her puppy training. She’s a smart, motivated dog and has taken well to training at the shelter. AWLA isopen today from noon until 7 p.m. for meet and greets. Come by and see her!
The AWLA is located at 4101 Eisenhower Ave. Founded in 1946, the AWLA has supported and served as a resource for homeless animals. The organization remains an integral part of the community by providing opportunities for adoption, spay and neuter assistance, education, and outreach. To learn more, visit alexandriaanimals.org.
