Adopt a Pet in Alexandria: Oscar Is Still Available
ALEXANDRIA, VA-Featured in The Zebra in December, AWLA is still working to help Oscar find a forever home. He’s been with them since last September. Here’s why you should consider taking him into your home.
- He’s housetrained.
- He’s extremely well-behaved and well-mannered.
- He’s an excellent leash walker.
- He knows when it’s time to relax and will nap the day away.
- He knows what is a toy — and, more importantly, what isn’t.
His foster parent said he’s the best foster pup she’s ever had! Walks (with stops for sniffs) are his absolute favorite. Once he’s had his walk, he’s content to lounge on the couch all day. He has never had an accident and is a great advocate for his own needs — letting you know when he needs to go out and when he wants to play a little game of tug-of-war. He loves to cuddle and has a zest for life that’s contagious.
Thanks to AWLA’s friends at Pampered Pet Boutique Barkery, Oscar’s new family will receive free dog food for a year, plus a shopping spree to get him started off right in his new home. His adoption fee has also been sponsored!
The AWLA is located at 4101 Eisenhower Ave. Founded in 1946, the AWLA has supported and served as a resource for homeless animals. The organization remains an integral part of the community by providing opportunities for adoption, spay and neuter assistance, education, and outreach. To learn more, visit alexandriaanimals.org.
