As many of you may know, Old Town is obsessed with dogs! Almost every retail establishment puts out water bowls, and many have treat jars too! There are dog parks galore, doggie yappie hours, and many outdoor restaurants encourage outdoor dog dining. (See photos of dogs we love below.)

What is going on in the wonderful world of real estate?
- Inventory has been creeping up, which is good. We needed it, but it is still very low and still considered a seller’s market.
- Buyers are still looking for housing but are also enjoying summer, traveling, and living their best lives. The frenzy has died down as it always does at this time of year.
- Interest rates are holding in the mid-6s for a 30-year fixed conventional loan at the writing of this article (July 13, 2024)
- You may have heard about big changes in the law regarding real estate and buyer agent commissions. We will write about this topic in-depth in the coming months but prefer to wait until the new laws have been implemented to discuss the impact.
