Free Ice Cream! Celebrate National Banana Split Day by Coming Out to Amazon HQ2 Aug. 23
ARLINGTON, VA-Tomorrow (Aug. 23) is National Banana Split Day. Celebrate by coming out to Amazon HQ2 where there will be free banana splits. To make the event possible, Amazon has partnered with Toby’s Ice Cream and Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA) Arlington.
According to a press release, “Toby’s Ice Cream will be offering event attendees a scoop of ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry) that they can then take to Amazon’s banana split bar to adorn with bananas and banana split toppings. ”
The event lasts from noon to 2 p.m. at 510 14 St S, in Arlington. Live music will be part of the festivities as well as MoCA hosting games and crafts.
Banana Split Day is described as a “legacy event” that began at HQ1 as an opportunity to bring the community together and check out the company’s “iconic banana stand,” says the release.
