ALEXANDRIA, VA-Alexandria Children’s Theatre welcomes students age 8 – 18 to audition for the world premiere of a new children’s show, The Holiday Time Travelers, starting with an audition workshop on Thursday, Sept. 5th followed by auditions on September 6th and 7th.

Set in the current time, the new play explores what happens when siblings who aren’t always kind magically travel back in time to England and see how Ebenezer Scrooge was bullied as a child and the way that changed his life. They return home grateful for their parents and the life they have, determined to be helpful towards others.

In addition to the acting roles, there will be students cast as Christmas Carolers, who appear in the present as well as the past in the story and have reduced rehearsal requirements.

Rehearsals for The Holiday Time Travelers will be held on Wed. and Thursday evenings at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church, 2001 Sherwood Hall Lane between Rt. 1 and Fort Hunt Road, and on Sunday afternoons from 2-4pm at Burgundy Farm school, 3700 Burgundy Road. Performances will be at Burgundy Farm school Dec. 6th, 7th and 13th at 7pm; Dec. 8th and 14th at 1pm and 3pm. Sign up for the audition workshop + auditions at www.ACTheatre.com
