Scoop ice cream, distribute flyers, or provide support at the annual Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day, to support the Child & Family Network Center. Volunteers get free ice cream after their shift.
Create a Family Emergency Communications Plan – This Volunteer Alexandria workshop will help you and your family create a family emergency communication plan in the event a disaster strikes.
Serve Lunch – Volunteers assist with meal and grocery distribution, setup, and light lifting to support Meade Memorial Episcopal Church’s Emergency Food Assistance Ministry, helping to provide essential food resources to the community.
Helping People with Different Abilities Playing Ball – Assist Miracle League players by running for them, pushing wheelchairs, or offering support, ensuring they can fully participate in sporting events—all while being rewarded with smiles and joy.
Tutor students in academic subject areas or lead career readiness workshops to help youth prepare for the workforce, with the Sheltercare Program of Northern Virginia.
