ALEXANDRIA, VA-Volunteer Alexandria is hosting a program for former federal workers on Thursday, April 17. Designed to offer volunteer opportunities, the event is a collaboration with Piece Out Del Ray.  It is also a chance to meet others who share the same goal of serving.

Together, attendees will work on a project that benefits the Center for Alexandria’s Children.

“Social connections are vital to stay healthy, reduce anxiety and loneliness,” reads the email announcement from Volunteer Alexandria. “City resources will be shared during the event. Don’t miss out on the chance to make a difference and connect with fellow former federal employees and contractors.”

Scheduled for 9-11 a.m., directions and details will be sent to you after registration. To register, click HERE.  As of this writing, 18 spots remain.
