ALEXANDRIA, VA-Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA) will sponsor a job fair on Saturday, May 3 at George Washington Middle School (1005 Mount Vernon Ave). The event takes place from noon to 3 p.m.

This fair is specifically for federal workers and contractors who have lost their jobs in recent months. “Every day, I’m hearing from so many of my constituents who have been laid off – or are afraid that they may be the next to lose their jobs,” said Beyer in an email announcement.

Recruiters and hiring managers from many fields will participate including healthcare, IT, consumer electronics, and the military.

The job fair is made possible through a partnership with the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church and Fairfax and Arlington counties.

Parking is available at the school. But space is limited. Consider Metro. The Braddock Road Station is on the Yellow and Blue lines and is near GW.
