School of Rock Alexandria Playing Vans Warped Tour on June 14 and 15
House band to play legendary festival on RFK grounds

ALEXANDRIA, VA-School of Rock Alexandria is amping up to go on tour. On June 14 and 15, the house band will join their counterparts from the music school’s branches in Annapolis and Columbia, MD on the grounds of RFK Stadium in Washington, DC.
The Vans Warped Tour is returning to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The alt rock festival held shows from 1995 to 2019 throughout the US and Canada. Artists who have performed over the years include Blink-182, Dropkick Murphys, Good Charlotte, and Eminem. The Black Eyed Peas and Fall Out Boy rose to fame thanks to their appearances on the tour.
It was founded by Kevin Lyman. According to Ticketmaster, 500,000 attended annually.
“Our musicians have poured their hearts into this—countless hours of rehearsals, overcoming nerves, and growing into true performers,” said Steve McKay, the owner of School of Rock Alexandria. “To see them take the stage at Vans Warped Tour at RFK is beyond exciting, it’s a powerful, proud moment for all of us. They’re going to leave a lasting impression, and I couldn’t be prouder of the dedication and courage they’ve shown.”
School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons, and piano lessons.
Loyal to the Craft, SmartPunk Records, and SJC Custom Drums are producing the appearance of School of Rock on the Vans Warped Tour.
