Art on Hilltop Celebrates and Promotes Community Talent and Art

ALEXANDRIA, VA-An event called Art On Hilltop was held May 31 in Alexandria. This local makers market celebrates creations by members of our community. Taking place for the last few years, it promotes the creative talent of everyday members of society.
Attendees had the opportunity to purchase several different types of art, including block prints, pottery, jewelry, and stationery. Susan Lefler made several of these creations. Since 2021, she has experimented with printmaking and created a number of pieces using the medium.
Art On Hilltop also focused on the idea of bringing neighbors together, giving them a chance to help promote each other’s work. “It’s been a great way to meet fellow neighbors and sell our work, and it’s a wonderful community event,” Lefler said.
The event is likely to continue in the future. The market is a good example of a community gathering to show off the talent of its people.
