Adopt a Pet in Alexandria: Meet Aspen
ALEXANDRIA, VA-Aspen is a 3-year-old, 75-pound male dog who is spirited and playful. He adores playing in the yard – romping and running around independently, chasing toys and balls, sniffing out treats in a food puzzle, etc. Aspen also has a great love of water. He can’t seem to get enough of the doggie pool and hops in it every chance he gets. When playtime is over, he is ready for belly rubs. He’s a big old boy with a lot of playful energy, affection and love to share. He is working on his leash manners and getting much better, but his new family would continue to work with him on pulling too hard. He loves to meet new people. His adoption fees have been sponsored through the month of August through AWLA’s Big Dog Energy adoption event. All big dogs (40+ pound) have waived adoption fees. Plus, adopters will receive a big-dog-sized, brand new bed (while supplies last).
The AWLA is located at 4101 Eisenhower Ave. Founded in 1946, the AWLA has supported and served as a resource for homeless animals. The organization remains an integral part of the community by providing opportunities for adoption, spay and neuter assistance, education, and outreach. To learn more, visit alexandriaanimals.org.
