Public Invited: North Potomac Yard Park Opening Oct. 19

ALEXANDRIA, VA-A new park is opening in Alexandria. The public is invited to attend a ceremony for North Potomac Yard Park (3601 University Dr.) on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 8-9 a.m. Mayor Justin Wilson and members of City Council will be present for the dedication. The event will be held rain or shine.

Go to the North Lawn, next to the playground.  There will be limited parking on University Dr. and more spaces at the the JBG parking lot (2900 Potomac Ave.).

This park is an extension of the Potomac Yard Park, adding another 4.5 acres to the area. As a result of the park, Potomac Yard Trail is also extended.
