Alexandria, VA – Consumers today put a high value on convenience and what will make life easier for them. With all of us leading high-stress lives, we’re always looking for ways to ease the stress of the selling process and relieve the homeowner of some of the burden.

One of the biggest pain points when selling a home is determining what work needs doing, which contractors to use, and how to pay for it. This is where our new program, Compass Concierge, comes into play. When you use Compass Concierge, the Goodhart Group will suggest improvements and upgrades to help you sell your home faster and for more money. Then we can identify contractors to work with you. Finally, the concierge program provides upfront funds, at no interest, to pay contractors. You repay Compass at closing. We make it easy!

Our client Diane lives in California, which made it difficult for her to prepare a home in Alexandria for market. She was in a quandary about what to do, because the home needed repairs and renovations to bring it up to today’s standards.

Compass Concierge enabled her to get the repairs done to her mother’s estate in Seminary Ridge with no upfront costs. Upgrades to this home included installing wood flooring in the kitchen, fresh paint and trim throughout the entire home, new cabinets and appliances, and new plumbing fixtures and finishes in all the bathrooms. Our team managed the upgrades from here, and Diane didn’t stress about managing the sale from thousands of miles away.

And although renovations can take time, patience paid off for Diane. The estate went under contract in six days, with multiple offers that escalated over its asking price of $1,125,000, ultimately selling for $1,132,000. Not only was it a quick sale, but it also saved Diane time and energy, creating a win-win for everyone involved.

Since Compass Concierge’s inception in early spring of 2019, The Goodhart Group has closed twelve properties using the program, including Diane’s. Compass Concierge has helped our clients benefit from an expert suite of services to help them through the complicated process of preparing a home for sale, no matter where they live.
