Volunteer Alexandria Announces New Board Members
Volunteer Alexandria announced four new additions to their Board of Directors: Charade Estes a Project Manager for Engility Corporation, Matt Megary a Vice President for Caudron-Megary-Blackburn, Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, Ian Northrop who is President of John H. Northrop & Associates, Inc., and Lindsay Sollers a CPA and Senior Manager at Renner & Company, will join the current eleven-member board that consists of business and community leaders dedicated to volunteering and public service.
With a 36-year legacy of caring for the heart of Alexandria, Volunteer Alexandria strives to help other Alexandrians give back to the city with through volunteering. The organization serves as a matchmaker, providing connections between volunteers and non-profits or city agencies in need of volunteer assistance. From creating and maintaining green space; preparing for emergencies; promoting culture and the arts; developing hands-on job and leadership skills; to feeding the hungry, Volunteer Alexandria plays a critical role in providing critical volunteer assistance to the city of Alexandria.
“I am very excited to add the four energetic, experienced and skilled members to our board. We established new goals for the upcoming year and it’s always wonderful to have new ideas and energy being part of the implementation,” said Marion Brunken, Executive Director.
